Interactive Game Performance: RE:WONDERLAND or FOLLOW THE WHITE RABBIT
up to 20 Participants
Who says that the world has to be exactly as it is? Couldn’t it be otherwise? What if the laws of physics turned out to be an illusion? What if things were upside down, the small was large and perpetual free falling was possible? What if Wonderland became reality? In our new play RE:WONDERLAND or FOLLOW THE WHITE RABBIT, we explore such questions. For thirty minutes, twenty players get the chance to be Alice, find their way into Wonderland, encounter the unexpected and make what seems impossible possible. With their smart phone and the app TOTO, set off from the four edges of the playing field on their way into Wonderland. Their goal: the white square in the centre, where an indistinct object waits to be filled with hot air. To participate as a player, you need your own smart phone as well as the app TOTO: www.toto.io In order for the game to run smoothly and not to loose time, it would be best for the players to already have the app before they start playing. For half an hour 20 players get the chance to be Alice, find their way into Wonderland, encounter the unexpected and make what seems impossible possible.
Alida Breitag, David Czesienski, Robert Hartmann, Holle Münster and Tim Tonndorf make up the Kollektive Denkwerk. PRINZIP GONZO creates a space for sharing phantasies and discussions, and for finding, developing and implementing ideas. In 2010, the collective set out to create a platform for meaningful exchange in view of the backdrop of the often unproductive competitive pressure in theatre scene. In changing constellations of the various members, they realise the works of Gonzo both in the independent scene and at publically funded theatres in Germany and France. Since 2014, PRINZIP GONZO has been collaborating with the software developer Markus Schubert. The software that he developed provides technical solutions for setting the dramatic structure of the collective’s Sandbox-Game-Theatre productions and makes strong setting of content possible. RE:WONDERLAND or FOLLOW THE WHITE RABBIT is their first project together with the platform TOTO (developed by Markus Schubert and Christoph Wanja) and Omnidome.
